How do I transfer my website to MKhost

How do I transfer my website to MKhost?

For a web site to function properly and to be on the Internet, it is necessary to have a registered domain and an appropriate purchased hosting space to upload files / databases / email addresses and the overall content of the website.

To transfer your web site to MKhost, you need to purchase one of our hosting packages (see: https://mkhost.com/mk/hosting/web-hosting for package selection).

After the package activation, you should migrate the entire content of your web site from the old server to the new server, or to your new hosting space purchased at MKhost.

You can do this migration yourself when on activation you receive login information for your Cpanel account through which you can upload your files, or if you want we can do the migration

for you.

If your current hosting panel is cPanel, the migration is automatic and all settings and data will migrate without any problem or interruption / loss of data. (You send us only the cPanel login

information).

If the current hosting hasn’t got support for cPanel, the migration should be done manually and you should allow us access (or send us a backup) for the following data groups:

      - Files from the web site itself

      - Database (if any)

      - Email addresses (if you have activated)

If during migration of the web site on our server, you want the web site domain to be transferred to MKhost (domain transfer), then the two following scenarios are possible:

1. If it is a .mk domain, you should request for the EPP transfer code from your registrar and provide it to us. This domain transfer process is free and it’s not charged. The date of the

domain expiry remains the same. You restore the domain before it expires upon your request.

2. If it is a .com domain, or an international domain, then it is necessary:

- the domain should not expire in the next 10 days

- the domain to have the status: unlocked (to be unlocked - so the transfer can be executed)

- then the EPP code for the transfer should be delivered and finally

- have access to the mail that has been left as an administrative contact, so you can confirm the transfer (send an email message from MKHOST-REG to be confirmed in order for

the transfer to be successful)

The transfer of an international domain is paid at the domain renewal price, which gives you a one-year renewal.

If you want, the domain can stay active with the current registrar - where it was purchased and updated until now. Once your hosting space is active and after we transfer your web site to our

server, you should notify your registrar, or you can change the name server records (DNS servers) to the ones we send.
