What is an Addon domain?

Addon domain is a new and unique web site hosted in a new folder on your account.

When you create an addon, three things happen:

  1. New folder is created in the "public_html" directory.
  2. New subdomain is created for the main domain.
  3. The new domain is linked to the subdomain.

So if your domain is abc.com and you've added addon domain 123.com to folder 123 the following things will happen:

abc.com/123

123.abc.com

123.com

Note: All mentioned examples have access to the same directory.

By adding the addon domain you will be able to create email addresses for it.

This option is used when you want to host multiple websites on the same hosting account.

With our hosting packages, you can add 1 addon domain to the Basic hosting package, with the Regular package you can add 3 addon domains, while with the Power hosting package you can add 9 addon domains.
