Changing information for administrative and technical contact

 

Every domain has 3 contacts - registrant the owner of the domain, administrative contact, and technical contact. You specify the information for these contacts in the process of registration of the domain.

 

For changing the administrative and technical contact please follow the instruction below

 

Log in to your client portal https://portal.mkhost.com and choose Domains from the Menu. Find the domain you want to change the admin/tech contact for.

Click on the domain, and choose the Domain contacts tab. Click on the edit button then Edit contact info for admin or technical contact.

Here you will choose whether you want to change some contact information or completely change the contact.

  • If you want to make a change to a phone number or first and last name, click Change contact information, change the information to new information, and click Assign contact.

  • If you want to change the email address of the contact, you will have to add a new contact with that email address and then specify the newly created contact as administrative or technical, which means you have to click on Change contact. Enter all the details for the new contact and click Assign Contact.
  • The same goes for adding a completely new contact, click Change contact, enter all the details for the new contact and click Assign contact.

Once you add a contact with an email address, you will have that contact in the contacts list and for other domains, you do not have to re-create the contact, you will just select it from existing contacts.
