.mk Domain Registration Process

With the entry into force of the new Rulebook of MARNET for the registration and management of .mk domains (as of 11.02.2025), the registration procedure and rules have been precisely regulated.

Who can register a .mk domain?

A .mk domain can be registered by:

  • Natural persons with residence or temporary residence in North Macedonia
  • Legal entities registered in North Macedonia
  • Foreign legal entities (with appropriate registration in their home country)

IMPORTANT:Foreign natural persons are NOT allowed to register a .mk domain.

Anyone who is eligible and wishes to register a .mk domain – whether a legal entity or a natural person (with residence or temporary residence in North Macedonia) – must submit an application, which can be filed electronically (digitally signed) or in person.

This is in accordance with the Law on Electronic Documents, Electronic Identification and Trust Services, as well as the bylaws derived from it.

Application Submission for Legal Entities

(Macedonian or foreign legal entities)

If the registrant is a legal entity, the following is required:

  • Registration Application Form[download here]
  • Current Company Registration Certificate – not older than 6 months
  • Signature of the company manager (digital signature of the manager is mandatory for all foreign legal entities)
  • Company stamp (only for Macedonian legal entities if a digital signature is not used)

Application Submission for Natural Persons

(Natural persons with residence or temporary residence in North Macedonia)

If the registrant is a natural person, the following is required:
